Martin County has enacted a burn ban effective immediately, restricting several fire-related activities due to heightened fire risks. Under the ban, campfires are only allowed in fire rings at least 23 inches in diameter and 6 inches high. Open burning of wood or other combustible materials is prohibited, except for charcoal and propane grills. Burning debris, including construction and storm-related waste, is also banned, as is the use of burn barrels.
