Washington Catholic Elementary Receives Grant for Literacy Program

Washington Catholic Elementary has been awarded a $250 Teaching Innovator Grant from Our Community Foundation to support the Write and Shine early literacy program. Preschool teacher Kaelani Sandoval accepted the award for her initiative, which uses LCD writing boards to help preschoolers develop fine motor skills and writing confidence. The grant is part of the Foundation’s effort to support innovative education in Daviess County.
