The Vincennes Animal Shelter has taken in several dogs from a recent hoarding situation in Illinois. These animals, many of whom are suffering from mange, pregnancy complications, and other health issues, are currently not available for adoption as they recover from their traumatic past. Shelter staff emphasize that the dogs need time and space to heal, as they are unsocialized and fearful. Those looking to help can donate supplies directly to the shelter or contribute to its medical fund by calling Southgate Vet Clinic. The shelter expressed gratitude for the outpouring of community support, particularly from volunteers who assisted as the dogs arrived.
