Indiana Conservation Officer Joseph Haywood has been named the 2024 District 7 Officer of the Year for his outstanding service and dedication to conservation law enforcement. Haywood, a 21-year veteran, previously served in Knox County before transferring to Dubois County. In addition to his field duties, he contributes as a public information officer, honor guard member, ROV search operator, NASP instructor, and field training officer for the Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement. District 7 covers 10 counties, including Daviess, Dubois, Knox, and Vanderburgh.
