Robin Elizabeth (Gregory) Jones

Robin Elizabeth (Gregory) Jones, 64, of Washington, IN, peacefully passed on November 11, 2024, with her family by her side.

 

She was born on January 16, 1960, to the late John W. Gregory & Marilyn J. (Davis) Gregory in Daviess County, IN.

 

Robin was a member of the 1978 graduating class of Washington High School. On September 1, 1989, she married the love of her life, Jeff Jones, and they spent over 35 years together happily married.

 

She worked as a CNA at Prairie Village in Washington years ago, and later began factory work. She eventually became known as the “extraordinary babysitter”, and that was a name she greatly cherished. Robin loved to spend time with her family, and she loved to serve them. She enjoyed babysitting her nieces, nephews, and grandkids and helping raise them. She loved family gatherings, loved to cook, and she also loved to work crossword puzzles and read books. The racing community was important to her, and she enjoyed spending time with her racing family. She was a member of Church on The Way in Washington, and Robin also served a vital role within the church.

 

Survivors of Robin include her husband, Jeff Jones of Washington, IN; her daughter, Jeri Barnard of Washington; her sons, Brandon Barnard of Evansville, IN, and Tyler (Jenna) Jones of Sumner, IL; her grandchildren, Taylor Hollingsworth, Preston Barnard, Liam Jones, and Makenna Jones; her great-granddaughter, Layla Hollingsworth; her siblings, Mike (Janet) Gregory of Washington, IN, Debbie (Johnny) Newberry of Vincennes, IN, Randall (Lorri) Gregory of Washington, IN, and Amy (Jeff) Decker of Washington and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Marilyn; her son, Joseph Barnard; and her brother-in-law, Johnny Newberry.

 

Visitation for Robin will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 9:00am-2:00pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501. A funeral service will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 2:00pm with Eddie Willis and Ryan Lenahan officiating at Goodwin-Sievers. Following the service, Robin will be laid to rest at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington.
