Strong Early Voting Turnout in Knox County Surpasses 2020 Numbers

Early voting in Knox County is off to a strong start, with more than 800 voters casting in-person ballots from Tuesday through Friday last week. Voting is taking place at the former Work Release Center in Vincennes. Knox County Clerk David Shelton noted that early voting turnout is surpassing the numbers seen in 2020. Over 570 absentee ballots have been mailed out, with the deadline to request one set for Thursday, October 24. Early voting continues on weekdays in Vincennes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the former Work Release Building. It will also be available on two Saturdays, October 26 and November 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Vincennes location, as well as the Blue Jeans Center in Monroe City and the Bicknell Firehouse.
