The Daviess County Museum will host a special program revisiting the 1864 U.S. Presidential Election on Sunday, October 13, at 3 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will focus on the critical election between President Abraham Lincoln and his opponent, George McClellan, during the height of the Civil War. Monty Critchlow and Bruce Smith will discuss how the election was viewed locally, with special guest Dean Dorrell portraying President Lincoln. The discussion will explore the election’s significance and the factors that influenced voters at the time.
