A personal injury accident was reported early yesterday morning at the intersection of 600 S and 600 E in Montgomery. Officers arrived at 3:59 AM to find a vehicle that had hit a pole, with power lines under the vehicle. The driver was trapped inside, suffering from possible broken arms and chest pain. Rescue units and REMC were quickly en route, with Air Evac from Paoli being called to transport the injured driver. The driver was transported to the University of Louisville for further medical treatment. The scene was cleared by 5:33 AM, with the vehicle removed by Craney’s towing service.
