Applications are now open for the Code/IT Academy’s free training program, with a deadline of May 31. The Daviess County Economic Development Corporation announced the Code/IT Academy initiative, a 10-week upskilling program designed to help Hoosiers acquire in-demand tech skills, leading to higher-paying jobs. The summer 2024 session focuses on preparing participants to pass the AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam. Classes are conducted at 201 East Main Street, Suite 202, Washington, with live streaming instruction from Ivy Tech instructors in Bloomington. The course is free, and Code/IT covers the cost of the certification exam. Code/IT’s training program equips individuals with skills relevant to web development, IT administration, CompTIA Security+, and Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner roles. Registration for the AWS Cloud Practitioner session is open until May 31. Classes commence on June 11, meeting twice weekly in the evenings.
