Yesterday, Governor Eric J. Holcomb and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced the distribution of $207 million in grants to cities, towns, and counties across west central Indiana through the Community Crossings matching grant program. Communities applied for funding during a competitive call for projects in January. A list of all 252 communities receiving matching funds in the 2024 spring call for projects will be available on wamwamfm.com.
The City of Washington received over $224,000.
Martin County received over $994,000, while Loogootee got over $1.4 million and Shoals $236,000.
Knox County $1.5 million.
Linton over $300,000.
Pike County nearly $1.5M, Winslow over $61,000.
Sullivan County was awarded $1.5 million.
Jasper was awarded $336,115, and Dubois County $1,005,866.
