The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is providing young Hoosiers with two opportunities to experience the outdoors through hunting. First up is the Youth Deer Season scheduled for September 23-24. Additionally, Free Hunting Days on November 25-26 provide the perfect opportunity for everyone to enjoy the thrill of hunting without the need for a license or stamp. For fishing enthusiasts, the last Free Fishing Day of the year falls on September 23, allowing Indiana residents to fish public waters without a fishing license or trout/salmon stamp. While these days provide a perfect opportunity to learn to fish, it’s essential to adhere to all other fishing regulations, including seasons, bag limits, and size limits.
