Elizabeth Ann (Beth) Meyer, 62, passed away peacefully at 1:19 pm on August 28, 2023 at her residence with her family by her side. Beth was born on January 8, 1961 in Vincennes and she is the daughter of Raymond and Rosemary (Hagerty) Catt. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979 and later Vincennes University. Beth married the love of her life, Kevin Meyer, on November 1, 1986.

 

Beth enjoyed her life to the fullest. She loved to travel. She went on trips with her mom and sisters to New England and Seattle, WA. She traveled to Alaska and numerous trips to Cancun, MX with her husband. She especially loved traveling to Gulf Shores, AL with her husband, kids, and grandkids last summer.

 

Beth participated in the Knox County TRY for 15 years, and walked in 5K’s, 10K’s, and half marathons numbering to over 50. She loved her euchre card club and was in a bowling league for 31 years. She also enjoyed going on 4-wheeler rides, cruising the White River in their Jon boat, riding in her convertible, and hosting the best Girl’s Days’ pool parties. She loved spending time with her family and planned the best holiday outings and events including Polar Express rides, going to look at Christmas lights, cookie baking, and Gingerbread house making.

 

Beth was the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

 

Beth is survived by her husband, Kevin Meyer, children Amy (Brett) Matteson, Alex (Alexandrea) Meyer, grandchildren Brecklyn and Zeke Matteson, and siblings Marilyn (Ken) Matthews, Carol Williams, Steve (Theresa) Catt, Judy (Jack) Waldroup, Barbara (Terry) Ferrill, sister-in-law Yvonne Catt, in-laws, Frank (Verna) Meyer, brothers-in-law Kyle (Beth Ann) Meyer, Keith (Linda) Meyer, and 17 nieces and nephews.

 

She is proceeded in death by her parents Raymond and Rosemary (Hagerty) Catt, brother David Catt, brother-in-law Paul Michael Williams, and nephew Eric Catt.

 

Beth’s funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Monroe City First Church of God for close family and friends. Beth will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in a private ceremony. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Vincennes Moose Lodge on October 6, 2023 beginning at 5:30 pm. The Meyer family has requested memorial contributions be made to IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, C/O IU Foundation, P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207.
