Daviess County property owners will soon receive a new form from the county assessor’s office. Crystal Ostby, the Daviess County Assessor, has announced that on April 24th, a notice of assessed value “in use” will be sent out to taxpayers. The form will display the current 2023 assessment as well as the 2024 assessment for comparison purposes.

Form 11 is purely for informational purposes, and it includes a QR code that property owners can scan to access their property record card for review. Ostby reminds property owners that Indiana is a market value “in use” state, which means that various factors can affect the assessed value. These assessments follow market trends, and assessed values have increased statewide in line with the housing market.

For additional information, property owners are encouraged to visit the county’s website at engage.xsoftinc.com/daviess. As an essential function for taxpayers, the Daviess County Assessor’s office is dedicated to providing accurate information and assessments to property owners.
