Earl “Rance” Norris, 84, of Washington, IN passed away April 11, 2023. He was born in Washington, IN on August 6, 1938, to the late Benjamin E. and Nellie (Bryer) Norris. Rance graduated from Washington High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Rance work 40 years for AUL as a medical underwriter until his retirement. He was an active member in the local American Legion. Rance married Moureen Dilk on June 21, 1992. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his family, watching the Cardinals baseball games, vegetable gardening, watching westerns, and reading mystery novels. You could often find him outside under a tree enjoying the beautiful weather and with a book in his hand. Rance also knew no stranger and was always willing to help people in need. He will be truly missed by all.
Rance was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronnie Norris.
He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Moureen Norris; children Rochelle (Doug) Lawson, Rance Norris, John McKinney, Gregory (Taneema) Norman; grandchildren Taylor (Tim) Weber, Bryce Whitney, Skylar Whitney, Nelson Norris, Melinda Johnson, Jacob McKinney, Kasey (Robert) Bailey, Kyle (Farrah) Butler, Cole Ware, Rance Gregory Dale Norman, Audrey Norman, Eli Norman; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Kriss (Mike) Riffey; and several nieces and nephews.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Norris. A memorial mass will take place at a later date.
