The Martin County Alliance, in partnership with the City of Loogootee and the Loogootee Community School Corporation, is launching an initiative to revitalize the Loogootee Senior Center. The goal is to create a shared space where seniors and youth can connect, learn, and grow together through project-based learning. Currently used for Bingo every other Thursday, the center—located behind City Hall near the City water office—is full of potential but needs updates and input from the community. Organizers are asking residents aged 60 and over to complete a quick survey to help shape the programming. Once launched in Loogootee, the initiative will expand to serve all of Martin County.
