On Saturday, Washington Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street past the police department. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Jason Hammock of Petersburg, and the passenger as 36-year-old Kailee McKee of Linton. During the traffic stop, WPD was assisted by a Daviess County deputy & their K9 partner, Focus. After K9 Focus showed a positive indication of the presence of the odor of illegal narcotics, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers reported finding approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine. Both Hammock & McKee were arrested without incident on charges of dealing and possession of cocaine.
