The Washington School Board made it official last night at a special meeting. The school board voted to hire Bo Burkhart as the new varsity boys basketball coach to take over for Gene Miiller, who retired at the end of the season. Burkhart leaves Bosse as an assistant coach under his father, and Washington will be his first varsity head coaching job. He is very excited to get started. Burkhart was on hand for last night’s meeting along with his wife, Kacey, and young son, Brooks. He will serve as a business teacher at the high school and help out in the athletic department.
