Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and County Road 800 East, not far from the scene of an earlier fire. The crash was reported around 4:52 p.m. A 911 caller reported neck pain for one individual and chest pain for another. Multiple first responders, including Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department and medical units, were on scene. Two individuals were transported to a hospital in Jasper for treatment. Vehicles involved sustained heavy damage, and two were towed from the scene. The incident is under investigation, and a state crash report has been filed.
