Steven Douglas Sterling, 71, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away Sunday April 20, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on April 8, 1954, in Washington, Indiana to Donald G. and Mary Sue (Cannon) Sterling.
Steve graduated from Loogootee High School, Class of 1972. He worked at Regal Mills in Haysville, Indiana for over 30 years. Steve enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He liked to collect arrowheads and stamps.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald G. Sterling, and his nephew, Dylan Sterling.
Steve is survived by his mother, Mary Sue Sterling, his siblings, Brenda (Bill) Rutherford, Brad (Lynn) Sterling, Rob (Nancy) Sterling, Roger (Kim) Sterling, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 11:00 A.M on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on the same day from 9:00 A.M until 10:45 A.M at the church.
