Lloyd W. Parsons, 84, of Odon, Indiana, passed from this life into Heaven on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Ketchem Nursing Center. He was born in Montgomery on September 13, 1940, to John W. and Gladys (Hummerickhouse) Parsons. On June 4th, 1960, he married the love of his life, Kathleen V. (Breeden) Parsons, and she preceded him.
Lloyd was a member of the Odon First Christian Church, the White River Valley Antique Association, and the Raglesville Men’s Club. Over the years, he worked for J.L. Wilson Construction, Washington Railcar, and Arlen Mine.
Family who will cherish memories of Lloyd include a daughter, Melody (Mark) Beasley; a son, Steve (Lisa) Parsons; grandchildren: Adriane (Roger) Callahan, Meredith (Brandon) Firestone, Sydney Parsons, Seth Parsons; great-grandchildren: Hezekiah and Violet Callahan, Claire and Lincoln Firestone; and two brothers, William Parsons, and Fred Parsons.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kate Parsons; brothers, James and Robert Parsons; and sisters: Corrine Clark and infant, Helen Louis Parsons.
Funeral services will be at the Odon First Christian Church, 658 W. Elnora St., Odon, IN, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with Micah Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at the Raglesville Cemetery.
The visitation for Lloyd will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22nd, at the church.
