James Erwin (Jay) “ Woodchip” Noble 49 Bruceville In. passed away suddenly on Sunday March 30th, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jay was born on December 21st, 1975, to the late Cindy Rainey and James (Jim) Noble of Michigan.On July 24. 2004 Jay married the love of his life Sarah (Blann) Noble. He was an avid truck driver for 36 years. Jay was a cub and boy scout leader for his son and then his nephew for many years. He was also the biggest promoter of his nieces’ cheer career and travel ball extravaganza, never to have missed any sporting events.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Noble; his father Jim Noble (Vickie) of Michigan and his grandmother Kathryn (Noble) Robbins, and Uncle Dave Noble of Michigan. Mother and Father-in-law Trina and Rodney Blann who he considered mom and dad of Bruceville. A Very Special sister and brother-in-law Priscilla and Monroe Earnest of Bruceville. Sister Johanna Applewhite of New York, Brother Chris Noble (Katrina) of Monroe City, A son Christopher Noble (Cheyenne) of Bruceville. Nieces Alta Noble, Charlize, and Meka Lynch. Also A very SPECIAL niece and nephew Brooklynn and Braxten Evans that he considered his own daughter and son as he help raise these two from small children to two very special well mannered young adults who will dearly miss him.

Jay was blessed with four beautiful granddaughters Everlee, Athena, Emmalynn, and Ophelia Noble all of Bruceville, he also has two bonus grandchildren Braxton and Zara Bowman of Vincennes. He was also blessed with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jay was preceded in death by his mother Cindy Rainey, grandfathers Leroy Noble and Doyle Noble; great-grandparents, Lula and Porter Noble. Grandmothers Sharon Noble, Sarah Stephens, and Betty Blann. A cousin TJ Noble and his unclesTerry Noble, Robert Noble,and Edward Noble.He has also left behind his beloved fur babies.

Jay will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jay always said, “At the end of the day it’s always about your wife, kids, and family.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church Street, Vincennes, Indiana 47591.With a service following on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM officiated by, Pastor Jarrod Chattin also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bruceville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, Texas 75284.
