Gary Lee Brashear

Gary Lee Brashear, 65, passed away the afternoon of March 21, 2025. He was born in Vincennes on March 11, 1960, the son of Raymond and Marjorie (Richards) Brashear. He was married to Cynthia (Horsting) Brashear until her passing on May 18, 2017.

Gary was a graduate of Vincennes University with an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture. He was employed as the parts manager for Pigg Implement Sales in Vincennes. He was an avid collector of farm toys. Gary also played guitar and belonged to a group who often played and entertained at nursing homes in the area. He attended the Palestine United Methodist Church.

Those who are left to cherish Gary’s memory include: his nephew, Jerry (Scarlett) Brashear of Lawrenceville, Illinois; niece, Isabelle Dinkens of Washington; great-niece, Ryleigh Jo Brashear; great-nephew, Bentley Brashear; cousin, Kelly (Richard) Cheek; and fiancée, Julie Loch of Vincennes.

During his lifetime, Gary mourned the loss of his parents, Raymond and Marjorie Brashear; his wife, Cynthia (Horsting) Brashear; brother, Jerry R. Brashear; and aunt and uncle, Rozella and John Seany.

Graveside services for Gary Brashear will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 3:30 pm, in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals.
