Kratos Defense and Security Solutions has announced its expansion into Indiana with a new 68,000-square-foot Indiana Payload Integration Facility near the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. The facility will support critical hypersonic launch programs and represents an initial $50 million investment in the state. During the announcement, Indiana Governor Mike Braun and Secretary of Commerce David Adams joined company officials at the WestGate at Crane Technology Park to celebrate the groundbreaking. The project is expected to generate over 100 high-tech jobs, with an average annual salary exceeding $80,000. The facility is set to be operational by the end of 2026. State leaders say Kratos’ investment reinforces Indiana’s position as a leader in manufacturing and defense innovation.
