Virginia Louise Carpenter, 81, Martinsville, IN passed March 2, 2025, after an extended illness, at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.
She was born to the late Charles H. and Rosemary (Colvin) Rayman on Friday, December 3,1943 in Washington, Indiana.
Virginia was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 32 years. Virginia retired from Indiana Masonic Home in 2006. She was a wonderful caregiver and loved taking care of her family.
She is survived by son, Terry (Pam) Breedlove; daughters, Barbara (Tony) Caldwell, Jamie (Michelle) Brown, and Debrae Vaughn; brother, Patrick (Karen) Rayman; stepchildren, James “Bud” Carpenter, Jr. and Anna Miller; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fritch Breedlove, Jr. in 2004; her second husband, James Stanley Carpenter, Sr., married July 1, 2006, deceased 2023; her parents, Charles and Rosemary.
A private graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville with Pastor James Hansel officiating.
