The Washington Fire Department responded to a call from a residence at 811 Center Street around 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening. The caller reported hearing a noise and seeing flames from the second story window. Firefighters arrived a the scene within five minutes of receiving the call. The Electric Department was called to shut off power to the residence. The Washinton Police officers and Medical Services also responded to the fire. No other information is available this morning.
