A single-vehicle accident occurred late Tuesday night on US Highway 231 near Odon when a car veered off the southbound lane and struck a tree. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:07 p.m. Initially reported as a possible injury accident, it was later reclassified as a property damage incident. The driver was administered a breath test, registering a .211 blood alcohol content. A wrecker service was called to remove the vehicle, and authorities transported the driver to Daviess Community Hospital before later transferring him to the security center. The incident remains under investigation.
