Thomas J. Norris, 81, passed away during the evening hours of February 19, 2025. He was born in Washington, December 21, 1943, the son of William and Rosemary Norris Kennedy. He was married to Particia (O’Brian) Norris. Together, they created a loving home for themselves and their daughter until her passing in 2008.
Thomas was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School, and later was semi driver for the Buchta Trucking Company. He loved to play Bingo. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church.
Those who now mourn Thomas’ passing include his daughter, Shelly (Jim) O’Maley of Washington; special friend, Donna Bath of Washington; grandchildren: Amber (Tanner) McPherson of Washington, Derek O’Maley of Washington; great-grandchildren: Jack McPherson, Will McPherson, Ben McPherson, Lincoln McPherson, Archer McPherson, Alexis O’Maley, Addley O’Maley, and Skylar O’Maley.
During his lifetime, Thomas grieved the loss of his father, William Norris; his mother, Rosemary Kennedy; his step-father, William Kennedy; and his wife, Patricia Norris.
Visitation for Thomas Norris will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Thomas Norris will immediately follow the visitation on Monday, February 24, 2025, and begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Yvonne Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
