
The Loogootee Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Full-Time Patrolman. Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid driver’s license, and meet physical, psychological, and background requirements. Academy-certified officers are exempt from the physical test. The position offers competitive benefits, including paid vacation and sick leave, health and dental insurance, Air Evac coverage, a take-home vehicle (with conditions), and a city-funded retirement plan. Officers also receive a uniform allowance and multiple training opportunities. Starting salaries are $50,610.06 for non-certified candidates and $52,896.48 for academy-certified officers.
