Joseph E. Lease, 68, of Washington, Indiana, passed from this life, on Monday, February 3, 2025 at The Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington. He was born on July 31, 1956 in Greenfield, Indiana to John E. and Janet J. (Smith) Lease.
Joe was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church. He worked at Crane as an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic, retiring in 2008 with 28 years of service.
Family left to cherish the memory of Joe include: one brother, Jim (Joanna) Lease of Carmel; two sisters, Judi (Bruce) Dillon and JJ (Brian) Arney, both of Elnora; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerel Lease.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. Joe will be laid to rest at a later date in New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 8 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Travis Burkhart Memorial Foundation or the North Daviess FFA. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
