William Lee “Butch” Brown

William Lee “Butch” Brown, 79 of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his beloved home surrounded by family.

Born March 21, 1945 in Rising Sun, Indiana, he was the son of George H. and Patricia Mae (Kirk) Brown.

Butch was a Master Trooper for the Indiana State Police. He was a member of the Indiana State Police Alliance, FOP, Sons of the American Legion Post 196 and a life member of the Elks Lodge.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Lori Brown; one daughter, Jeri Sue Carpenter (Andy); one son, Brian Scot Brown (Rachelle); three grandchildren, Brian Brown (Maura), Kylie Enochs (Jared) and Michael Cox; his great grandchildren, Bristol, Whitley, Myla Grace, Macie and August; his siblings, Alan Brown (Janet), Jon Brown (Rhonda) and L’Louise Childress; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Melodye Mumma, Susan Brown, James Brown and Linda Chadd, his Father and Mother-in-law, Jack and Martha Ann Boruff and his parents.

There will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Butch’s birthday, March 21, 2025 at his beloved residence starting at 12:00 pm.

Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
