The Plainville Volunteer Fire Department has had a busy 48 hours, responding to two separate fire incidents. On Monday morning, the department assisted Washington Township with a barn fire, deploying a tanker and additional manpower to the scene. On Tuesday afternoon, firefighters responded to a structure fire. Thanks to the use of multiple fire extinguishers before their arrival, the fire was contained to a small section of the wall. Montgomery and Cannelburg Fire Departments provided mutual aid.
