Jerry J. Babrick

Jerry J. Babrick, 74, passed away on January 5, 2025. He was born in Washington on February 14, 1950, the son of Bill J. and Eva Mae (Cannon) Babrick. On August 14, 1971, he married Brenda L. (Heichelbech) Babrick in the St. Mary Catholic Church in Washington; and she survives.

Jerry was 1968 graduate of Washington Catholic High School and a 1970 graduate of Vincennes University where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. In 1972, he graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He worked for the K-Mart Corporation from 1973-2009, where he was a manager in their Sporting Goods and Automotive Departments. From 1972-1978, he was in the Army National Guard.

Jerry was a man of many interests. He loved old cars, especially his 1955 Chevy, as well as riding his motorcycle. On his days off in the spring, summer, and fall, he would go fishing.

Those who now mourn Jerry’s passing include: his wife of fifty-three years, Brenda Babrick; his daughter, Shannon R. Babrick of Washington; and three brothers: Billy J. (Beth) Babrick of Washington; Alan (Linda) Babrick of Washington; and Larry Babrick of Warsaw, Indiana.

During his lifetime, Jerry mourned the loss of his parents, Bill and Eva Mae Babrick; and brothers, Fred Babrick and Rodney Babrick.

The family has arranged private services for Jerry J. Babrick.
