Betty J. Bowman, 96, of Odon, Indiana, passed from this life, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on June 15, 1928 in Odon to Everett O. and Ruth Irene (Penrod) Beasley. Betty married Max C. Bowman on April 9, 1950.
Betty was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She worked as a Budget Analyst at Crane, retiring in 1991 with 15 years of service. Betty loved a good adventure and was always ready to travel and see the world by plane, motorhome or motorcycle.
Family left to cherish the memories of Betty include: one daughter, Teresa Bowman of Ellettsville, IN; one son, Jeff (Kim) Bowman of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Allison (Abbey) Bowman-Rogers and Katherine Bowman, who were the light of her life.
Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Max Bowman; brother, Don Beasley; four sisters, Maysel Hinton, Norma Wilson, Eva Mae York and Vonda Asdell.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Meng Family Funeral in Odon with Bro. Richard Crabtree officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 22 at the funeral home.
