Washington Police Arrest Three Suspects in Separate Incidents

Washington Police Department officers responded to three separate incidents on December 17, leading to the arrests of three individuals.

In the first case, WPD officers responded to a theft report on E. Hefron Street involving a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle was later found at an apartment complex on S. Meridian Street. Officers arrested Robert Thompson, 35, of Washington, for theft of a vehicle and on a warrant for petition to revoke a suspended sentence.

Later, officers responded to a vehicle crash near NW 16th and Cherry streets involving a man with a firearm. They detained Pierre Charles, 20, of Washington, without incident. The crash stemmed from a domestic dispute, and an airsoft gun resembling a handgun was seized. Charles faces charges of battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, reckless driving, and pointing a firearm.

In a third case, a WPD detective spotted Emery Bibbs, 18, of Washington, near the library. Bibbs was wanted on a warrant for sexual misconduct with a minor, stemming from an investigation involving WPD detectives, Daviess County DCS, and SWICACC. Bibbs was arrested without incident. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted in these investigations.
