Lucille Ann Purcell, 80, of Washington, Indiana passed away on Monday December 2, 2024, at Daviess Community Hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1944, in Petersburg, Indiana to Charles and Emma (Chamberlain) Smith.
Lucille married Kenneth Ray Purcell on October 12, 1963. She was a member and church historian of the Mt. Gilead Church. She worked at Washington Nursing Center as a QMA, and at Providence Home. She excelled in her healthcare career obtaining various certificates and licenses caring for her community. Lucille loved plants, music, crocheting and angels. She enjoyed making crafts, drawing, and painting. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Smith, her husband Kenneth Ray Purcell, her granddaughter Elizabeth Riggle.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Emma Riggle, her grandson, Christopher Ray Purcell Riggle.
Cremation was chosen according to her wishes.
