A Washington man is in custody following an investigation into thefts at an apartment complex and City Park. On November 20, officers from the Washington Police Department responded to reports of a masked individual stealing packages from the mailroom of an apartment complex on E National Highway. The suspect was also linked to thefts at the City Park. A WPD Sergeant’s investigation led to a warrant being issued for 40-year-old Ross Lucas of Washington on charges of burglary and theft. Lucas was arrested on yesterday by WPD Patrol Officers without incident. The Parks Department and local businesses assisted in the investigation.
