A single-vehicle rollover accident on I-69 near mile marker 55 yesterday, resulted in the death of a 76-year-old man from Nashville, Indiana. The Daviess County Central Dispatch received a report of the crash at approximately 5:53 p.m. Emergency responders arrived to find the driver, Philip T. Wolter, trapped inside the overturned vehicle. He was transported to Daviess Community Hospital but was later pronounced deceased. According to investigators, the passenger truck was traveling northbound at an unknown speed when it ran off the roadway due to poor road conditions. The vehicle struck riprap down an embankment, reentered the roadway, and overturned, ultimately coming to rest on its passenger side.
