The Daviess County Treasurer, Jamie Chapman, reminds residents that the second installment of property taxes is due by Tuesday, November 12. Since the Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Monday, November 11, for Veterans Day, taxpayers are advised to mail payments early to avoid penalties, as postmarks determine timeliness. Payments received or postmarked after November 12 will incur a penalty. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but closed on Election Day, November 5, and Veterans Day, November 11. For questions, call 812-254-8677.
