Around 200 volunteers from Daviess and Martin County gathered at the Community Building at Eastside Park in Washington for the annual RSVP Volunteer Luncheon yesterday. The new Executive Director of the RSVP, Emily Ramsey, stated that we have over 300 volunteers involved in the program, amounting to countless hours of volunteer work given back by this group of amazing seniors. 51 volunteers received special recognition for over 500 hours served this past year. The event also honored Kim Herbertz, who stepped down as director at the end of June.
