Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Arrest in Vincennes

On the night of October 2, around 10:30 p.m., a Knox County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chevy Impala at North 2nd Street and Chicago Avenue in Vincennes. The driver, 39-year-old Keith Adams, was found to be driving with a suspended license. A K-9 unit on scene alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs, leading to the discovery of 1.6 grams of methamphetamine in Adams’ possession. Adams was arrested and booked at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction, a Class A misdemeanor. He remains in jail with a $5,000 bond.
