Tears for Fears have announced their first-ever live album, Songs for a Nervous Planet, out  on October 25th.

Songs for a Nervous Planet is comprised of 22 tracks; in addition to live classics recorded during the band’s recent tour, there are four new original tracks on the LP, including the newly-released  “The Girl That I Call Home.”

The live album also arrives with an accompanying concert film titled Tears For Fears Live (A Tipping Point Film), shot on the same evening that the live album was recorded in Franklin, Tennessee. The concert film follows the band as they travel through their lengthy catalogue from the ’80s to today, with the film to be released in select theaters worldwide from October 24th to 26th; for tickets, head HERE.

Tears for Fears’ Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith shared: “We decided to film the live show last year. I think a lot of people don’t know that we are a good live band, actually! They see a duo, and they think it’s going to be two people with a couple of keyboards and a bunch of backing tapes, and that’ll be it. Over the years, we’ve vastly improved since our heyday back in the Eighties. We’ve never released an official live album, so you could say this is an album forty years in the making.”

Tears for Fears are also celebrating the release of their new live album and film with an exclusive three-night residency at the new FontaineBleau hotel in Las Vegas from October 30th to November 2nd. For tickets, head HERE.
