Daviess County Rural Water Announces Fall Flushing and Boil Water Advisory

The Daviess County Rural Water System will begin its fall flushing of all customers starting Monday, October 7. Flushing will commence in the southern area at Bussard Road and move southward, while in the north, it will begin at 100 N and move northward. Customers may experience low water pressure and possible discolored water during this time. For questions, call 812-254-4526.

Additionally, two precautionary boil water advisories have been issued as of October 2:

Advisory “A” covers customers on Highway 231 from County Road 1475 N to Deerfield and those on County Road 1350 E up to Valor.

Advisory “B” applies to customers on County Road 450 S, Horrall Road, County Road 50 W, and Alexander Hill Road, including Alexander Estates.

All affected customers are advised to boil water for five minutes before use for cooking or drinking until further notice.
