Daviess County has lifted its burn ban as of September 25, 2024, following recent rainfall and more expected over the coming weekend.
Forecasts predict 1.5 to 2 inches of rain from a tropical system on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with another chance of rain next Thursday.
The ban had been in place due to dry conditions but is now lifted with the improved weather outlook.
