Reports have surfaced of a caller falsely identifying as “Officer Davis” from the department, claiming that individuals have missed jury duty and now face arrest warrants. The scammer then requests personal and payment information to cancel the supposed warrant. Authorities stress that the sheriff’s office will never ask for payment to cancel a warrant and advise the public to avoid sharing personal information in such calls.
