Maryann (Parr) Hamilton, 79, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Poplar Care Strategies.
Maryann was the cherished wife of the late Edward Hamilton, who passed away May 29, 2021. She was the daughter of Myrtle (Smith) Parr and Arthur Parr. She was born in Anderson, Indiana and grew up in Vincennes, Indiana.
She graduated as a music major from Indiana State University and spent her teaching career in Washington, Indiana as the Washington High School – Band Director.
Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hamilton; parents, Myrtle (Smith) Parr and Arthur Parr.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Keith (Marianne) Hamilton of Camby, Indiana and two nieces, Kim Hamilton and Lauren Westfall.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana. Condolences may be made online at www.blakefuneralhomes.com.
