Indiana State Police arrested 24-year-old Austin McGill of Owensville after an investigation revealed he allegedly struck and pointed a loaded firearm at his eight-year-old stepdaughter. The incident occurred on the morning of September 8 while McGill was caring for his three children at home. The children’s mother was not present during the alleged event. Following the investigation, the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges, and McGill turned himself in at the Gibson County Jail. He faces multiple felony charges, including pointing a firearm, neglect of a dependent, and domestic battery.
