Johnny Shannon Jackman, 97, of Montgomery, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Cedar Creek of Washington.
She was born July 1, 1927 in Odon, Indiana to the late John and Julia (Holt) Bowman.
Shannon married Charles V. Jackman on August 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2009.
Shannon worked as the Secretary-Treasurer of Barr-Reeve High School from 1966-1996 when she retired after 30 years.
She is survived by a special friend, Anita Rademacher and her family, and many good friends.
Shannon was preceded in death by her son, Jim Jackman; her husband, Charles V. Jackman; her parents, John and Julia Bowman; her sisters, Jean Weaver, Nell Dowden, and Lillian Brooks; her brother, Max Bowman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Blake & Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery, Indiana. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 8th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
