Our Community Foundation has announced that Executive Director Mary Smith will retire in March 2025. Smith has been a pivotal figure in Daviess County’s community foundation work since 2012 and has led the Foundation since its establishment in 2021, following her 34-year career at Daviess Community Hospital. Smith will continue in her role during the transition to new leadership, with the Foundation’s Board of Directors launching an immediate search for her successor. Interested candidates can find more information and apply through the Foundation’s website. As of June 2024, Our Community Foundation reported over $5 million in assets and manages 32 funds. The Foundation is guided by a 20-member Board of community leaders, all committed to serving the residents of Daviess County.
