Law enforcement from multiple departments responded to assist in a pursuit that ended in Pike County on the night of September 2. The chase, initiated by Indiana State Police, concluded when the suspect’s vehicle, a gray Dodge Charger, crashed into a ditch near mile marker 42.5 on I-69. Officers, including K-9 units and a drone team, were dispatched to the scene. A wrecker was called to remove the vehicle, and an investigation revealed an ID belonging to Jonathan David Yela-Alvarado, born May 19, 2002, inside the car. The incident remains under investigation.
