Philadelphia Eagles acquire wide receiver Jahan Dotson from Washington Commanders

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Thursday they have acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson through an intra-division trade with the Washington Commanders. The Eagles agreed to send a third-round pick and two-seventh-round picks from the 2025 NFL Draft to the Commanders in exchange for Dotson and a fifth-round pick.

Dotson, 24, was the No. 16 overall pick out of Penn State in 2022 Dotson totaled 523 yards and seven scores on 35 catches as a rookie, and logged 49 catches for 518 yards and four scores over 17 appearances last season. Dotson will join Eagles wide receivers including A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Parris Campbell, Johnny Wilson and Britain Covey, among others.

The Commanders also were involved in a trade with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, acquiring kicker Cade York in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in that swap.

The Eagles will host the Minnesota Vikings in their preseason finale at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday in Philadelphia. They will face the Green Bay Packers in their regular-season opener Sept. 6 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
